JBL Roofing and Construction Continues to Amaze – Personal Experience

After my fiancé and I purchased our home in late 2024, one of the first renovations that we knew we would have to tackle was our roof. It was over 25 years old, and was in pretty rough shape. Shingles were missing and falling off during storms, there was extensive animal damage around entry points, and some sections of the decking were exposed entirely. On top of that, our insurance provider was threatening to drop us completely if we did not get a full roof replacement, which would have voided our mortgage and potentially caused us to lose the house.

We fully intended to shop around for the best contractor, as the quality and safety of our home is incredibly important to us and our five year old son. However, we ended up only having to make one phone call: to JBL Roofing and Construction.

We reached out to JBL first not only for Kee On Sports’ partnership with them, but also for their reputation throughout North East Ohio. It was hard to find anything negative about them online when doing our research, and after meeting with Jon Dombrowski it was quick to see why. Jon was able to schedule a roof inspection within a few days of us reaching out. He was incredibly thorough when explaining his findings, and included detailed photos of the issues he was seeing on our roof. He even tarped over an exposed portion of the once the inspection was finished, free of charge.

Jon’s hospitality carried over to our home consultation as well. He was incredibly patient and friendly with our dog and our energetic five year old while laying out exactly what the replacement process would look like. He answered all of our questions, took us around the outside of the house to explain what would happen during the replacement, and ensured that he was always a quick call away if we ever had additional questions.

At this point it was clear to us that JBL was the right choice. We signed the contract, and could not be happier with how smooth the process was from there. Jon and JBL handled everything with our insurance company, and got the necessary approvals to get started. Jon literally drove in from out of state just to make sure he was at our house in time to meet with our insurance adjuster.

We signed our contract in late December, and given the North East Ohio weather we fully anticipated having to wait until at least March to have our roof completed. However, Jon and his crew spotted a small window of decent weather at the beginning of the year, and got us booked for January 8th.

Had I not been working from home during the replacement, I would have hardly known the crew was there. They were incredibly quick, efficient, and did a pristine job of cleaning up the job site once they finished. The site manager was in contact with me throughout to provide updates, and was always friendly and courteous. He even offered to replace a gutter pipe that was damaged during the replacement, despite it being caused by an electrical issue that his crew had nothing to do with.

Upon completion, the site manager provided me with photos of the completed roof, and walked me through the final steps to finish the paperwork. Overall, this entire process could not have been easier. We were incredibly stressed going into this both because of the potential cost and the short timeframe we were working with, but JBL was able to quell out fears right out of the gate. We plan to replace the siding on our house in the near future, and JBL will absolutely be the first call we make. I can not thank Jon and the rest of the team enough!
