The Olmsted Falls Lady Bulldogs came out sharp and confident against the John Marshall Lawyers, setting the tone early behind Jesse Simon’s first five points of the night. For the first four minutes of the opening quarter, Olmsted Falls dictated the tempo on both ends of the floor.
John Marshall eventually settled in during the final stretch of the period, attacking the paint and leaning into a more physical style of play that briefly disrupted the Bulldogs’ rhythm. Still, Olmsted Falls maintained control and carried a 15–9 lead into the second quarter.
In the second frame, the Lady Bulldogs adjusted. Meeting John Marshall’s physicality head-on, Olmsted Falls tightened up defensively and began to stretch the floor offensively. A couple of timely three-pointers, combined with cold shooting from the Lawyers, allowed the Bulldogs to extend their advantage to 32–13 at halftime.
The third quarter showcased not only the growing frustration from John Marshall, but also the discipline and poise instilled by head coach Jordan Eaton. Olmsted Falls responded with equal toughness, but paired it with superior fundamentals — drawing charges, forcing turnovers, and converting defense into easy offensive opportunities. By the end of the third, the lead had ballooned to 54–22.
With the game blown open in the fourth, it became a matter of pride for the Lawyers, but Olmsted Falls never let up. The Bulldogs closed out a dominant 61–26 victory, fueled by contributions across the roster. Three players finished in double figures:
Jesse Simon led the way with 13 points, Grace Largent added 12, and Emma Schaefer chipped in 11. What won’t show up in the box score, however, was just as impactful — hands up on defense, constant communication, timely charges, and relentless turnover creation from every player on the floor. The coaching staff crafted a solid game plan, and the Lady Bulldogs executed it to near perfection.
