by Both teams traded buckets back and forth to start the game as Medina’s Abby Dress grabbed a quick 6 points. However, that was quickly answered by the sharp shooting of the Titans. They drilled 4 3s including 2 by Miya Walker and 2 by the Titan’s Star guard Regan Braaten as she had 10 points to help her team lead 19-12 after 1. The Titans full court press caused lots of trouble for the Bees, slowing down their pace heavily.
You could start to feel the intensity of a playoff game as both teams were playing with high physicality, and the refs were allowing it. This quarter was all about the Bees. Medina was dominant in every aspect, erasing their 7-point deficit with ease. Medina won this quarter from great rebounding on both sides of the floor, and Abby Dress and Addy Shook took over. The Bees defense held Berea to just 2 points in the quarter to lead 25-21 at the break.
Just when Medina had momentum as they were out hustling and rebounding off a 13-2 run heading into the break, the Titans struck back. The titans started to show flashes of double teaming the ball, and it was working. Thanks to their defense and transition scoring, the Titans went on a large 19-3 run to start the 3rd quarter capped off by a Miya Walker 3 electrifying the crowd. The Titans led 44-32 after a dominant 3rd quarter.
Just like the 3rd quarter, it was an extremely quiet 4th quarter for Medina as they were held to just 11 points in the final half of their season. Berea capped off the night with more high-level defense and a dagger 3 from Miya Walker, her 4th of the evening. The Titans took the 53-36 win and will advance to the next round.

Seems like yesterday i turned on Fox 8 in November seeing that the old coach resigned to due to issues within the team! Still haven’t heard the real story… but i couldn’t be happier to see this team succeed with all the BS early on !!! Go Titans make us proud
