While we have sponsors and partnerships, that does not cover all of the monetary obligations that come with running Kee On Sports. While you do not have to tip, we would greatly appreciate any amount. God Bless!

PARMA, OH – The Normandy Invaders survived a furious fourth quarter rally by North Olmsted to capture a 57-50 CWC victory.  North Olmsted scored 23 points in the fourth quarter, by far their highest point total in a quarter all season, but it came too late.  One Eagle hindrance was their 3 of 10 foul shot shooting in the first three quarters, they recovered nicely by hitting all 4 foul shots in the fourth.

The Invaders were led by Gavin Clark with 14 while Landen Holmes scored 12 and Logan Guadalupe finished with 11. Ryan Durkin poured in 8 while Jacob Chuba had 5 and Damir Smith put in 4.  Brayden Edwards capped off the Invader scoring with 3 points.

The Eagles received season high performances from Anthony D’Allesandro with 15 and Aj Ryant with 10 along with Dom Martin who tipped in 13, led the furious fourth quarter rally.  All 3 got red hot at the exact same time and scored 23 fourth quarter points.  Elsewhere it was Brent Zatta, Desean Knight and Cory Kraft each scoring 3 while Chuck Shuck tallied one.

After a 3 ball at the buzzer from Guadalupe gave the Invaders a 17-8 lead headed into the second quarter, it didn’t take long for the Invaders to stretch the lead to double digits at 19-8 just one possession into the second.  Soon after they would double up the Eagles at 24-12 before taking a 28-17 lead into the break.

After a Chuba three ball gave the Invaders their biggest lead of the game at 40-24 with 2:06 to play in the third, they managed to take a 42-27 lead into the fourth.  It seemed as though the game would slide their way easy as there was little movement either way in the first 5 minutes of the fourth quarter.

It was then that the Eagles began to make their move as AJ Ryan cut it to 52-43 with back-to-back buckets at the 2:12 mark.  This was the first time since the early moments of the second that it was a single digit game. From there, the Invaders took the air out of the ball and passed it around while running out the clock and securing the 57-50 victory.

The Eagles will go after their first win this season at Perkins on Tuesday while Normandy travels to Avon Lake.

***Attention North Olmsted Parents. ***

Despite the result, have you been enjoying the articles?  Would you like to see more of them? I’ve noticed few if any other papers or sites have been covering the Eagles and we will feel if the kids are working hard, they deserve the coverage, no matter the result. Feel free to come up to me at a game when you see me and say hello, I’d love to meet all of you.  Or, send me an email at Vince.McKee@keeonsports.com if you would like to see more coverage.  Thank you!
