North Olmsted Falls to Valley Forge 57-42

Valley Forge used a well balanced attacked as 8 different Patriots scored in their 57-42 road victory over North Olmsted tonight at The Nest.  The Patriots were led in scoring by Jaylan Bizzell with 12 while Justin Harb had 11 and Mykel Rubin scored 9.  Jadan Gill put in 8 while Justin Chong scored as Isiah Paoletto and Mason Furukawa each scored 5.  Aiden Soto rounded out the Patriot scoring with a point.

The Eagles were led by Dominic Martin with 17 off the bench while DeSean Knight, Cam Massimiani and Anthony D’Alessandro scored 5 each.  Chuck Shuck and Jake Perkins each finished with 4 while AJ Ryant capped the scoring with 2.

The Patriots raced out to a 9-0 lead as they dominated the first 6 minutes of the game.  The run was finally stopped by Dominic Martin as the Eagles saw their first points coming at the 3:35 remaining mark.  In fact, Martin scored the Eagles only 6 points of the quarter as they trailed 14-6 after one.

The Patriots began to pull away in the second with hot shooting early and often.  The saw their first double digit lead at 19-8 following a deep three from NBA range from Justin Harb.  A moment later the Patriot lead increased to 24-8 with 4:21 to play in the first half when Furukawa hit a triple.  The lead grew to 26-8 before a foul shot from Martin stopped it.  The Patriots took a 31-11 lead into half.

While it stayed a 20 point game after 3 at 44-22, the Eagles began to make a move in the fourth.  At one point they cut it to 16 points at 49-33 following a Massimiani three and then later on down to 55-40 on back to back buckets from Martin, but by then there was only 1:47 left to play.  The Patriots held on for the 57-42 victory.

North Olmsted will look to bounce back on Tuesday night when they travel to Lakewood as Valley will attempt to stay hot in pursuit of their third straight win when they host River that same night.
