NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH – North Ridgeville pulled out a thrilling win over Nordonia 58-54 to stay red hot to start the season. The Rangers are now 3-0 to begin the 2025-2026 campaign. They will look to stay red hot as they travel Amherst on Wednesday night.
The Rangers were led by Lauryn Bohannon with 18 as she has led them in scoring through three games. Brooke Schroeder looked sharp again with 14 while Reyna Balderas nailed 4 from deep for 12 points. The Rangers scoring was rounded out from Adri Spyers with 7 while Maddie Kuhn had 3 as Savanah Kreilach and Mary Strippy each had 2.
Nordonia was led by Paul who had an impressive 23 while hitting all 9 she took from the foul line in this one. Taylor Morgan wasn’t far behind in the scoring with 13 while Williams had 6 and Shirley scored 5.
Nordonia trailed at the half 29-25 before overtaking the Rangers in the third to lead 46-45 heading into the final 8 minutes. It was then that the Ranger defense went into lockdown mode and held the Knights to just 8 points for the win.
The Lady Rangers have found numerous ways to win this year and today, they did it again as they hit 7 from downtown for 21 of their 58 points. They also went 9 of 14 from the line as they have made some serious progress this season at the line. Lauryn Bohannon scored in all 4 quarters while Marisa Slack started and played tough defense to keep the Knights at bay.
