North Ridgeville Lady Rangers Dominant in 74-37 Win Over Columbia

A dominating performance by the North Ridgeville Lady Rangers sent the team into Thanksgiving break on a high note with a 74-37 victory over Columbia.  What is perhaps most impressive is that only 3 of the 74 points came from deep as they dominated the paint, the lane and even the foul line where they piled up 9 points on 9 of 11 shooting from the stripe.

The Lady Rangers showed just how dangerous they can be with a healthy and well rounded roster as 10 different Rangers scored, with 3 of them hitting double digits.  It was Lauryn Bohannon with 15 while Adri Spyres had 12 and Savanah Kreilach scored 10.  Mary Strippy piled on 9 more while Brooke Schroeder scored 8 and Reyna Balderas landed 7. The exciting combination of Marisa and Sara Slack combined for 8 while Maddie Kuhn and Scott had 2 each.

Leading the way for the Columbia Raiders was Morgan Andrew with 12, all of which coming from the three-point line in the second half.  Lexi Miller had 7 while Alyssa Goebel finished with 6 and Kenzie Shackleton scored 5.  Allison Boardman scored 3 while Karlie Acori scored 2 as did Abby Elgin.

The dominance from the Ranger defense was early and often as they outscored the Raiders 24-7 in the first quarter, while only allowing one field goal.  In fact, for the night, out of the 34 Raider points, 18 of them came from the 3-point line while 5 came from the foul line as they only hit 7 field goals from inside the key.

The Rangers will look to stay hot as they host Nordonia on Friday Night while the Raiders look to bounce back as they host Lutheran West on Monday night.
