Episode 3 Recap
Peg o’ My Heart!
Peg gets the one on one date to open the episode with Mel. She is a bit hesitant because her ex cheated on her but seems genuinely open to trying things with Mel and getting her heart out there again. She even refers to him as a breath of fresh air and he admits how much fun she is to be around. They laugh and joke for most of the date as he dominates carnival games with her as they appear to have a blast. Mel mentions several times that she makes him happy.
Once they sit down and chat for a bit, they open up to each other and seem to hit it off. Plenty of smiles and laughs and she even teases a tattoo he can only see in the fantasy suite. Peg admits she feels safe around Mel and that truly appears to be very important to her. She is by far the most “fun” candidate for his heart yet. To the surprise of no one, she gets a rose at the end of the date.
Carol becomes suspicious about the intentions of the other house guests.
She overhears Nicolle talking about how much this show is going to help her career and that she is not there to date Mel, but to expose her brand to America like a famous housewife. She also mentions that the last cast of Golden Bachelors was highly unattractive, which, hey, she is just telling the truth with that comment. It is clear to see they went with a much more attractive class this time around.
She tells her concerns to Robin, who doesn’t wait long to tell Mel her concerns about the self-promotion going on. Mel is not buying it and truly believes they all actually like him. What a maroon!
The Group Date
A group date which is a photo session on the beach, leads to a make out session between Mel and Cindy after the photographer mentioned they looked the best together. So yeah, he does a little rolling around in the sand with her and highly annoyed the rest of the cast. In the end, Carol gets the rose and advances to the next round.
Going home this week is
Roxanne – She told the girls to keep dancing and she danced her way out of the house.
Robin – Well, her telling Mel her concerns led to her getting sent home. It is that simple.
Gerri – Listen, it is what it is, she was the only minority to get out of the first night and he was pretty adamant about the “type” of woman he is looking for. She made it until the final 9 and that will make it harder for anyone to sue the show. Again, you don’t have to like it, but it was pretty damn clear what was going on. She had zero chance.
Remaining in the house.
Peg – The fun one
Nicolle – There for her career
Cindy – Already madly in love with him after three weeks.
Carol – She stood out in the crowd this week, that is a good sign and probably means a solo date is in her future soon.
Debbie – She has never been married but is now one step closer to at least being engaged.
Sheryl – Winnie Coopers grandma sees another week!
