1992 Midpark High School Graduate Jay Petek has risen in the world of Auto Repair like a meteor into the heavens. (see what I did there) Ok, maybe not the best Midpark pun, I know, but that is the truth when it comes to Jay. He is truly living the American dream as he has used a blue-collar work ethic, honesty and loyalty to build the very best auto repair shop on the west side.
Petek opened Advanced Diagnostics Auto Repair in North Olmsted in 2017 and since then helped thousands get back on the road, safer then ever. After graduating Midpark, he spent 17 years working with Delorean Cadillac on West 117th. He learned his craft, he learned how to treat people and he built towards his dream.

In my humble opinion, the best part of Petek is his straightforward ability to explain to people exactly what is wrong with the cars in a way that they can understand. Also, he is not looking to make money off you, he is looking to do what is best for you.
Allow me to explain what I mean. If you take your car in because you think something may be wrong, he gives you every option available to fix it, not just the most expensive problem that it “could be”. There have been a few times in which I brought my car in just in case and there was nothing wrong, or it was very minor. You’re not going to get that everywhere.
Again, Jay is honest an when it comes to a mechanic, that is what you want. Reason being, when you know you can trust someone and they eventually have to tell you something is seriously wrong, you’re going to believe them.
At Advanced Diagnostics Auto Repair, you can count on them doing the job correct every time. Also, they make sure to use only the best parts and make sure that they come with a warranty. You feel at home with Jay and when it comes to extremely stressful times and possible large costs, you want to be comfortable.
I’ll tell this one last story about Advanced Diagnostics Auto Repair. Two different times over the last 18 months, they have been honest with my family about a need to buy a new car. Both times our KIA’s could have been patch worked together and gone through 6-10 repairs each over the next 2 – 3 years which would have placed money in his pocket, but Jay didn’t look at it like that.
He wanted my family and my young daughters to be safe so both times so he said, “Hey, we can fix your car and get you right back out there, but instead of driving in a car with a soft shell because of rust, spend the money and buy them something nice to ride in.” Both times he was honest and had the safety of my family in mind. You’re not going to get that everywhere.
