Kee On Sports All Sophomore Team

This article is brought to you by – https://keeonsports.com/sponsors/

AUTHORS NOTE I quickly realized after several phone calls and texts message within 10 minutes of posting the All Freshmen team, that I left out an extremely important note.  When I name these teams, it is simply the players I sat in the stands and watched on a particular night.  I saw 84 games in person this season, and quite a few more on HUDL.  Sadly, I couldn’t see more games but i did my best.  So again, this list is simply the players I saw in person.  For example, I’m positive schools like Hoban, SVSM, Elyria Catholic, Brunswick, Mentor, Highland, Columbia and lord only knows how many others have tremendous student athletes that deserve to be on this list.  This is simply the best of the best of the ones I saw personally.  My hope is that next year we get some donations, expand our sponsorship team as well, and can cover 5x the amount of games we did this year.  We are trying our very best and I hope everyone enjoys the list.  Thank you and God Bless!*********************************************************************

Before we get to the list, here are the best of the best from this years LOADED list!  To cut it to just 5 was impossible. so I didn’t.

Ziley Minich of Normandy – One of the best pure passers in the open court I have ever seen with amazing handles and court vision.

Sophie Spade of Padua – The only thing that stopped her this year was an injury.  She is one of the best pure athletes you are going to find and will be a focal point of Ohio girls basketball moving forward.

Reagan Braaten of Berea-Midpark – Hands down the best 10th grader playing in Ohio as we speak.  This girl is a star on the rise with one of the most competitive spirits you will find. A solid defender and an absolute stud on offense. If you give her room, she is going to light it up.

Sidney Butera of Strongsville – She is good REALLY GOOD! She plays with four seniors but is often times, one of the best talents if not the best talent on the court. She proved it again this past weekend vs SJA when she took things over and made a close game, a blowout.  Butera is a pure point guard and at the same time, can shoot the lights out!

Alaina Pagan of Avon – She showed what she can do when healthy this season and led the Eagles to 17 wins.  She can shoot and play defense when called upon.  Pagan may get overlooked at times because of playing in the loaded SWC but shouldn’t, she is one heck of a talent.

Emma Schaefer of Olmsted Falls – She showed flashes as a freshman and then balled out as a sophomore.  Schaefer is like a fish in water in the Jordan Eaton system.  She will only get better and is already off to a great start.  She made one huge shot after another in their SWC clinching road win at Avon Lake. She is as tough as nails!

Libby Lang of River – A true center who can control the boards, get put backs and even dish out to an open shooter when doubled.  Lang has the potential to be the best 11th grader in Ohio next year. You need to watch her play to truly understand.

Molly Milligan of Avon Lake – The Shoregals coaching staff has done a brilliant job with Milligan.  She was the biggest reason they beat Magnificat.  If you have a good big girl in the SWC, she can be a game changer.  We saw that with Meng a few years back at Midview.  Again, I cannot say enough good things about Milligan and the future she has in Avon Lake. My hat is off to coach Appel and his staff for helping develop and incredible talent in Milligan.
