Ranking The Biggest AEW Departures That Have Headed to WWE

With Ricky “Starks” Saints being the latest AEW star to leave for WWE/NXT, it got me thinking just how drastic of a turnaround it has been since 2001 when so many big names left WWE for AEW.  Names such as Bryan Danielson, Christian Cage and Adam Cole just to name a few.  But, at the same time you had names like CM Punk who chose to come back to wrestling, and actually chose AEW.  Oh, how far away that seems right about now!

Here now, in my humble opinion are the 10 biggest names to leave AEW to head to WWE which have completely squashed AEW of ever being taken serious again. In order of the biggest impact of the 10 listed first.

Cody Rhodes

CM Punk

Jade Cargill

Penta

Ethan Page

William Regal

Ricky Starks

Lexus King

Andrade

Shawn Spears

And, it’s looking like Ray Fenix, Alistair Black and Miro / Rusev aren’t far behind.

Meanwhile, AEW has Edge doing the worst work of his career as, “COPE”.  Working for AEW pretty much beat up and destroyed Bryan Danielson.  Adam Cole has zero heat of any kind and CM Punk was smart enough to choke someone and get the Hell out of there.
