Strongsville Mustangs Win KOS 2025 Team of the Year

Congratulations to the Kee On Sports 2025 Team of the Year, the Strongsville Mustangs. The Mustangs finished the regular season at 21-1.  This included a win over the defending State Champion Olmsted Falls, not too mention two wins each over Mentor and Medina.  They also hold victories over Hiland, Peters Township, Jackson, Laurel and St. Joes to name a few.

This team plays as a unit and is 5 deep in the starting lineup with Sidney Butera, the talented Sophomore surrounded by four sensation seniors with Faith Rodak, Kennedi Neale, Eszter Dioszegi and Sydney Bass.  They are loaded folks, absolutely loaded and if any two of them are hot on the same night, let alone three or four of them, the other team is in for a long night. They can take you inside with Dioszegi on the block, or Butera can slash at any time.

Neale is perhaps one of the grittiest players I have ever covered, proven the night they won at Medina when she was under the weather and still went and balled out, pulling the Mustangs from the brink of defeat in the first half, to cruising to victory in the second when she couldn’t be stopped.

Sydney Bass has basketball in her blood as her older sister Regan Bass is currently breaking ankles on the court at Purdue and the younger sibling is every bit as good.  Bass just has that look in her eyes of someone who is there to compete and win with no other result being acceptable.

How good is this squad?  Take a look at the hardware they are taking home from Kee On Sports this year.

Team of the Year

GCC Sophomore of the Year – Sidney Butera

Dynamic Duo – Neale and Bass

Coach of the Year – Madyson Farnbauch

They appear to be a crash course with Magnificat in the postseason, which is a matchup good enough for PPV in my humble opinion.

I spoke with their Head Coach Madyson Farnbauch who had this to say. ” I’ve worked so hard to build up the Strongsville program in my three years with time and commitment at all levels 3rd-12th. Making the effort and dedicating myself to all levels during season and off season was my main priority when I took over the program. My players have helped tremendously with their passion and hard work they have put into my program that’s made it so successful in the last couple seasons. “

Congrats to Mustang Nation as this has been a fun group to cover and should do some serious damage in the playoffs.
