The dynamic Ella Henton has led the Westlake Demons to a tremendous 13-1 conference record this season on their way to a share of the conference championship with Rocky River. Henton is the type of five tool talent that can single handily take over a game at times. She plays tough, to the whistle and the one player who just grabs your attention!
Henton has been a joy to cover the last four years, developing an inside game to go with her outside game as well. She can score punches in bunches a multitude of ways. Henton is the type of player to lead on and off the court.
I spoke with her Head Coach Brittney Matuschek who had this to say about Henton, “Ella is an outstanding basketball player, athlete and young lady. She’s special on both ends of the floor and always rose to any occasion. She’s the caliber of player that only comes through a program every few years and we are grateful for her commitment to Westlake basketball. “
We want to wish Henton and her teammates the best of luck as they approach the postseason tournament. Again, Henton has been a joy to watch and I’m excited to see her on the next level.
