by The Ohio High School Team Figure Skating Championships took place this weekend at the Thornton Park Ice Arena in Shaker Heights saw plenty of local talent do extremely well. Avon High School Seniors Catherine Biesterfeldt and Danica Voll along with middle schooler Katie Coffey joined figure skaters from Berea-Midpark, St. Joseph, and Strongsville High Schools on behalf of the Westshore B combined high school skating team that was coached by Avon High School Alum Kaelynn Higgins.
Westshore B placed 1st in Team Maneuvers and earned the most total team points to be crowned the 2025 Ohio High School State Champions! Westshore B upset Padua Franciscan who were the 12X State Championship Team until this year.
