The Tick Tock Tavern has been a staple of Cleveland for nearly a century and will now close for the final time on Wednesday, December 18th. Owner John Tripodis stated the biggest reason for the sudden and stunning closure is high rent costs that they can no longer afford. This combined with the large salary demands of minimum wage workers, continues to be a threat to any small business owner. High Wages, High Rent and increasingly high grocery bills have created a near impossible environment to thrive, not only for Tripodis but any small company.
Stop in for one last burger and brew at 11526 Clifton Blvd. Tripodis has told several media outlets that he plans to sell off what he can via auction, and then retire in the cold blue night.
