Cleveland Looks To Fly High On Sunday

The Cleveland Browns take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Philly on Sunday. This will be a very tough matchup. Not only are the Eagles favored by nine and a half at home, their offense could overpower the defense. Jalen Hurts, quarterback for the Eagles, has had a sloppy year. His 930 passing yards so far puts him at 23rd in the NFL. The good news for Browns fans is that Hurts only has six touchdowns along with six turnovers on the year.

One thing that Philly has been known for over the last few years is their offensive line, which ranks 7th by PFF. The Browns rank 29th. With a busted up defensive line, it will be hard for the Browns to put pressure on Hurts. With Devonta Smith and AJ Brown’s full participation at practice, they may have too much time running their routes. The Browns’ injury report is currently as long as a Christmas list, so expect to see new names left and right.

Three names to look for: Cedrick Tillman, D’Anthony Bell, and Mike Hall Jr. (making his NFL debut after being on the Commissioner’s exempt list this season). All three could have a huge impact. With injuries nonstop so far this season for the Browns, these players have the opportunity to make names for themselves. The offense will need to put points on the board anyway they can, and will need to exceed their season average of 13 points a game. For the defense, stop Jalen Hurts from running the ball, and do not let AJ Brown and Devonta Smith get explosive plays, or big gains.
