Yellow Jackets Fall to Capital University in Tough Match

Baldwin Wallace University faced a difficult challenge against Capital University falling 3-1 in sets at the Lou Higgins Center.

 

Set 1

 

In this Breast Cancer Awareness match, Baldwin Wallace started out strong with their scoring tactics and powerful defense across the court.

The Yellow Jackets highlights their strong defensive plays and powerful offense with #1 Lauren Gardner, #21 Sam Rueda, and #26 Josie Lynn.

With this forceful combination, Baldwin Wallace University won the first set 25-19 over Capital University.

 

Set 2

 

Both teams started out strong in the second set keeping the score tied early on. However, Capital University struck back to gain a powerful lead over the Yellow Jackets.

Capital University highlights #12 Bryn Whitmer and #8 Abby Brunner with their reactive and quick actions. Similarly, Baldwin Wallace highlights #3 Brinn MacLellan and #26 Josie Lynn also with their responsive plays to keep the Yellow Jackets strong throughout the set.

Capital University took the win in set two with the score of 25-17 over Baldwin Wallace University.

 

Set 3

 

The third set was no different than the second as both teams started out sturdy and fierce maintaining the score tied early in the set. However again, Capital University gained a reasonable lead over Baldwin Wallace leading them to win 25-21 in set three. Even though the score was solid for each team, it seemed the momentum from set two led Capital University to win set three.

The Yellow Jackets highlights #8 Sydney Simonson, who came out of an injury from the start of the game, #1 Lauren Gardner, and #26 Josie Lynn as they all helped the team stay strong throughout the third set. Likewise, Capital University players had a reactive defense and power offense from #18 Samaree Perkins, #8 Abby Brunner, and #15 Olivia Spillers.

As said above, Capital University took set three win over the Yellow Jackets with the score of 25-21.

 

Set 4

 

The score was once more tied quickly making set four interesting, but Baldwin Wallace struggled to find a rhythm, causing Capital University to take a sensible lead. Capital University’s powerful and reactive defense and offense made it hard for the Yellow Jackets to score, but Baldwin Wallace stayed strong throughout the set.

Capital University’s notable players in set four are #18 Samaree Perkins, #8 Abby Brunner, #2 Kenadee Winters, and #12 Bryn Whitmer all contributed in the win. Similarly, Baldwin Wallace University’s notable players are #26 Josie Lynn, #21 Sam Rueda, #1 Lauren Gardner, and #6 Katarina Blazetic helped the Yellow Jackets in set four.

Even though both teams seemed to struggle in set four, Capital University won 25-20 against Baldwin Wallace University.
