Silver and Black Shine, Browns Fade

Death, taxes, and the Browns probably losing on Sunday. All three that are bound to happen. What could’ve been an easy win, turned into a typical Sunday. The Browns found a way to lose to a beatable team and now go to 1-3. The opening drive was a thing of beauty and a solid second drive put the Browns up by 10. Then, the Browns happened.

With absolutely no time to throw, it was amazing that Deshaun Watson was only sacked three times. This offensive line, yet again, can’t stop kids from running to the playground for recess. With Dawand Jones looking overweight, out of shape, and not up-to-date, it’s no wonder Watson was yelling at him. This offensive line is one of the big reason why we have no offense. No line, no time.

Next up, Amari Cooper. While I will always like Amari Cooper, someone needs to have a conversation about his hands. Coming into the game, Amari Cooper lead the NFL in drops. Yesterday, he added to that total when he dropped a catchable ball that ended in an interception. He made it up later in the game with an 80-yard touchdown, which was called back by an awful holding call. The Browns failed to score later in the drive.

The defense looks lost and injured, and needs to find a way back to last year. If we can get a fraction of that, we should be able to produce some big wins. Overall, the game was sloppy. Our best player just happens to be Corey Bojorquez, our punter, Deshaun has been playing well, and the Guardians are in the playoffs. Practice should be quite interesting this week. Next game at Washington.
