MAC Power Rankings Week 5

1 Buffalo (3-1) +3

An impressive win over a ranked conference opponent, The Bulls defense could be the very best in the conference and this game proved it.

2 Toledo (3-1) –

A unfortunate loss to a good group 5 opponent. Despite losing a winnable game they will remain in the two spot.

3 NIU (2-1) -2

Having a two score lead at half is one thing, but losing in OT by a field goal when you got the ball first isn’t acceptable. They are a top tier team but this loss moves them down.

4 Eastern Michigan (3-1) +3

Things are looking up for the Eagles in the early part of the season, with a winable game coming up this week the Eagles can be in prime bowl game position.

5 Bowling Green (1-2) -1

Another good showing at a Power four opponent for the Falcons, they drop a spot but can move up fast.

6 Ohio (2-2) -1

Hard to tell who this team really is, we will find out what this team can be in the next few weeks.

7 Central Michigan (2-2) +2

They showed how fast they score against a weak Ball State team, Im interested to see how they look against other MAC teams.

8 Miami OH (0-3) -2

Tough start due to a tough schedule, MAC play will show us more but right now all we now is this team is a tough group.

9 Western Michigan (1-2) -1

They didn’t play last week so this week will hopefully show us more about this team.

10 Akron (1-3) -1

They are exactly where I thought they would be, if they can steal a game in Athens they will launch themselves out of the bottom.

11 Ball State (1-2) –

Tough conference loss, they battled and that’s all you can ask.

12 Kent State (0-4) –

Bad luck last week losing two QBs, Unfortunately I believe it will only get worse from here on out.
