by We’re are blessed to have nearly 40 advertising sponsors currently at Kee On Sports as we are a few weeks away from High School Football season. However, the need for donations has grown because of the large coverage areas in which receive maximum amounts of coverage, but have supplied zero financial sponsorship support.
Perhaps the biggest examples of that are
Olmsted Falls
Bay Village
Lakewood
Columbia
Brunswick
What this means simply, is that Kee On Sports resources are consistently used to cover those schools with $0.00 coming back to us. We’ve done this for six straight seasons. We’ve lost thousands covering these schools with no financial support coming back from the city.
This leaves us in a lurch.
Were not going to stop covering the schools and student athletes, that would be wrong.
We’re not going to insert paywalls to force readers to pay to read the content. (not yet at at least)
But, the one thing we’re going to do is ask for donations so we can continue to cover schools without financial backing from the city’s businesses.
My hope is that we never have to turn to the card of, “only schools with a sponsor in their city, get coverage”. That would be silly, but with today’s economic times being what they are, sadly, that is a real strong possibility moving forward.
