Word has leaked that Bryan Danielson will be leaving AEW for good when his current contract runs out in late September this year. After multiple heel / face turns, and strange overall booking, combined with several dangerous spots in the ring that left he and several other performers injured, Danielson has had enough.

His “retirement run” this past year has been completely botched and nothing short of a Owen Hart Memorial Cup win combined with an All In World Title Shot is going to save it. The plan for Danielson would be to return to WWE in time for the Royal Rumble in January then see him begin with long awaited feud with CM Punk, that would see his actual retirement match take place against Punk at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

As many remember, Danielson had a major issue with his booking and how Vince McMahon looked at him because of size, with VKM no longer around, this is perhaps was meant to be for all parties involved.
