The varsity boys basketball team defeated John Hay 76-24 in an OHSAA Division I Sectional contest on Wednesday night. Jase Holland led the way with 12 points and 8 rebounds, while Connor Smith also had double digits with 10 points. Brock Beech had 9 points and Kellon Johnson finished with 8 points. Everett Rodriguez and Coen Miller both chipped in with 7 points apiece.
Medina improves to 13-10 overall on the season. The Battling Bees advance and will host the Bedford Bearcats on Saturday night in Sectional action.
