With their superstar center Mia Donald in foul trouble, North Olmsted received incredible contributions from all over on Saturday to win their first playoff game in recent memory.
Locking down on defense from the jump, the Eagles built a 9 to 1 lead for the first quarter as Donald got two quick buckets inside in the period.
Junior Katie Strong came in and grabbed several key rebounds and scored in big situations as North Olmsted built the lead to 19-8 going into the half.
Normandy were able to make a third quarter run when Donald exited halfway through the frame and the Invaders made a few three point baskets to cut into the lead.
That did not deter North Olmsted at all as Junior Rose Lane and fellow classmate Julia Tahsin lead the offensive charge, coming up with big play after big play to help keep the lead for the Eagles.
Steadying the ship and running a near perfect floor game for North Olmsted were seniors Sarah Pullin and Tess Shahin who both made it very difficult for Normandy to get anything going on either end while leading their team to victory.
The Eagles earned a shot at Solon, whom they will visit this Thursday. Gametime at 7 p.m.
