The Cleveland Browns are in a unique position right now as they sit at 3-2 in the AFC North. The Cincinnati Bengals are 3-3 and the Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-2. Division leader Baltimore is 4-2 with a road win at Cleveland, however, the Ravens have done nothing to separate themselves from the rest of the division yet. The point being, the Browns are right there, with an amazing chance to win the division this year. However, if they are going to win their division for the first time since 1989, they need to strike right now while the iron is red hot, and grab the left tackle they need to protect Watsons blind side.
Let’s take a look at two glaring holes on the Cleveland Browns lineup right now, left tackle, and second receiver. DPJ and Jed Wills have both been gigantic busts this season, and have been for several years. DPJ, showed some signs last year of improving, but has fallen off the map since. But by shedding DPJ, you begin to get the touches to sure handed and always open David Bell that you need. You already have Elijah Moore to take the top off the defense, and Amari Cooper to work the sidelines. Bell is a perfect threat in the slant and short curls as well to pick up those valuable yards.
Would a trade with the Denver Broncos make a world of sense right now? What left tackle would the Browns secure from Denver, and would Andrew Barry be willing to trade away two players he drafted? Also, would the Browns be forced to seemingly trade for Jerry Jeudy as part of the deal as well? Let’s face it folks, the Broncos are 1-5 and going nowhere this year, head Coach Sean Payton is desperate and if he feels he can get anything out of Wills and DPJ he may just do it.
But again, who would the Browns get in return to make them a Super Bowl contender this season? Watch Cole McDaniel and Vince McKee break down exactly who the Cleveland Browns need to trade for from Denver and what that man would bring to the O-Line.
On this episode, Cole and Vince breakdown this weeks game against the Colts, last weeks game against the 49ers, but more importantly, go into detail on why a deal with the Denver Broncos can change the entire offense for the better.
