It was homecoming here at Ken Dykes Stadium as the Medina Bees hosted the Euclid Panthers and it was all Bees from the opening whistle. Euclid received the ball to begin the game but quickly had to send the punt unit onto the field.

A short punt gave the Bees the ball at the 48-yard line and the offense went to work. After picking up an early fourth down and three just outside the red zone, Dan Stoddard would punch it in from one yard out for the first points of the night. It capped off a ten-play drive to put the Bees up 7-0 early in the first.

Again, the Panther offense could not get anything going. After just five plays and one first down the punt unit was sent onto the field. A much better punt this time pinned the Bees down inside their own five. That did not matter for Stoddard and the offense. Another ten-play drive would be finished off by yet another Stoddard touchdown. This time it was through the air. He connected with Dylan Whitehall from 16 yards out for the score. The Finn Kelps extra point made this one 14-0 at the end of the first.

Euclid got the ball to start the second quarter and were looking to muster something on offense. The Medina defense stood tall again forcing yet another punt, giving it right back to the offense. However, it was the Euclid defense making a play this time around. They would force an interception on the second play of the drive and the Panther offense took over at midfield.

The turnover bug stayed around as on Euclid’s third play of the ensuing series they would turn it over right back. Tallen Hulvey jumped Nylan Thompson’s pass and Medina would take over, looking to extend the lead.

They would do just that as they marched 78 yards on just six plays to put more points on the board. Stoddard this time found Nathan Angus from four yards away. The score was now 21-0 Medina.

After yet another punt, Medina had the ball back and were not satisfied with the number of points they had on the board. Stoddard would score his fourth touchdown of the half nine plays later, as he scampered in from 16 yards out making it 28-0 with 1:50 left in the half.

The Medina defense would once again get another turnover on the next Euclid drive. Tallen Hulvey would grab his second interception of the half and take it all the way to the Euclid 23-yard line. Just like that the Bees were threatening again.

Three plays later Stoddard would use his legs to score his fifth touchdown of the half. He punched it in from three yards away to make this one 35-0 at the half.

Medina got the ball to begin the second half and Stoddard didn’t wait long to score his sixth touchdown of the game. 41 seconds to be exact. On the first play of the second half Stoddard scrambled up the middle and went 57 yards for the score. Before fans could even get back to their seats it was 42-0 Medina.

With the running clock rule in play this one would be over fast. Neither team would be able to put more points on the board and this one came to an end. The Medina Bees would take this one with a final score of 42-0 over the Euclid Panthers.
