by The Avon Eagles Marched into the Pioneers Stadium and took a win on the road 42-6 over the Elyria Pioneers.
The Avon Eagles came to the Pioneers field and wasted no time to score. The Eagles started off the game hot as quarterback Nolan Good threw a 63 yard touchdown to Cole Kepner. The Eagles would go up 7-0 quickly in just the first 1:10 of the game. After a great defensive effort from Avon, they would capitalize on the offensive end. In just a few drives they would find themselves scoring another touchdown as quarterback Good ran for a 13 yard touchdown. The Eagle would go up 14-0 with 7:27 to go in the first quarter.
This game was already looking one sided as the Avon Eagles were dismantling the Elyria Pioneers. Another pass from quarterback Good led to a touchdown pass to Alex Rini for 26 yards, giving the Eagles a 21-0 lead with under 4 minutes to go in the first quarter. The score would stand as the first quarter came to an end.
Just like the first quarter, Avon came out to start the second quarter with another touchdown from running back Jakorian Caffey. Eagles had a 28-0 lead just shortly into the second quarter. Once again, Avon would score their fifth touchdown of the game as Tyler Kaufmann would have a 39-yard run to give the Eagles a very comfortable lead at 35-0. Not long after that drive Eagles’ Jakorian Caffey would get an interception and just 2 minutes later the Eagles would once again find the endzone as Good connected with Ty Beerbohm on an 11-yard pass. Avon would lead 42-0 going into the halftime locker room, meaning the second half would have a running clock.
In the third quarter there wasn’t much action until the two minute mark, the Elyria Pioneers finally got on the board with a touchdown by Kevin Jordan. Jordan took it 50 yards. The two point conversion was no good and the score would be 42-6 to end the third quarter in favor of Avon.
There was no score in the final quarter, as the Avon Eagles would finish with the win of 42-6 over the Elyria Pioneers.
