PARK REVIEW: Schwartz Park in Avon

** NOTE FROM CEO & FOUNDER OF KOS VINCE MCKEE**

High school football season is right around the corner, and once again, Avon will be one of our featured schools covered on a weekly basis.  We have over 4 Million People a year who click on the website to read and watch our content. We are in need of sponsorships in order to continue for that coverage of Avon Athletics to be free for readers and viewers. If not, our Avon coverage will now be behind paywalls moving forward.  Please contact Vince McKee at coachvin14@yahoo.com if you know any small companies that could use our advertising help.  We keep it extremely affordable to advertise.  Thank you.

NOW, ON TO THE PARK REVIEW!   (Don’t forget the amazing photo gallery on page two, and the coupon on page three)

The 2023 Summer Park Tour made its way to Avon for the second time this season.  This time, we landed at Schwartz Park and it was a fabulous time with plenty of tremendous things to do.  Once again, Avon was impressive, and my daughters loved this park!  Expect high marks on this report card found below.

Access to the park.

Grade – A

It’s easy to find but takes a bit to get there for non-residents.  It is a nice drive however and smack dab in the middle of a beautiful housing development. You won’t have much traffic and there are plenty of options for parking.

Cleanliness

Grade – B

Well, here’s the thing. For the “most part”, it is very clean, but the bathrooms were flooded when I was there and when you walk into puddles, it kind of dampers things quickly.  However, the park itself was clean and safe and that is all I can ask for with my children. You can also expect bugs if you sit under the trees where the benches are, but that is a small price to pay for shade.

Things to do at the park.

Grade – A

This park is loaded with things to do!  Everything from a playground and basketball court to baseball fields and soccer fields.  Two separate pavilions, perfect for parties and a nice, shaded area under the trees with a large picnic table as well. The playground features large playsets, plenty of swings for big kids and toddlers.  It has a seesaw and a number of things to climb on. You can easily kill two hours at the playground without anyone getting bored.  A great park!

Places for parents to sit.

Grade –  B

Again, if you don’t mind flicking off a few bugs here and there, the seating is perfect.  You have a direct view of your kids at the playground, and plenty of shade.  Three benches to sit can be found in the playground area.  Also, there is a large pavilion right next to playground you can sit at as well and read if you want or pack a snack while the kiddos play.

Bathroom Situation

Grade – C

Indoor plumbing is always great, but it was filthy and flooded.  Perhaps, it was just the wrong day.

Best part of the park.

Fun for the whole family and really cute!  A great park with plenty to do.  My kids LOVED the playground!

Would we go back?

Absolutely YES!  We are already planning our next trip.
