3 Safe Bets For WWE Night Of Champions 2023

WWE Night of Champions 2023 is Saturday and will take place in Jeddah, Saudia Arabia.

Normally, these Jeddah shows are seen as “glorified house shows” filled with nostalgia and old school legends such as The Undertaker, Kane, HHH, Goldberg and even Shawn Michaels once, as the headliners. When it comes to legends, the fans will have to settle for, “Trish Stratus” as their token legend in this one.

Few if any title’s change hands, which makes this location strange for the finals of the Inaugural World Championship. It almost makes me wonder if the match between AJ Styles and Seth Rollins ends up in a draw, and a best of seven series begins to decide the winner at the end of the Summer.

Even with that mystery out there, the card seems to be very well balanced and worthy of a few hours on a Saturday during a holiday weekend. With that being said, here are 3 safe bets you can wager on as being, “sure things” to happen!

Gunther retains his WWE Intercontinental Belt over Mustafa Ali.

Reason- This appears to be a David vs Goliath situation and a strange choice for Gunther to defend against. I do not foresee any scenario that allows Ali to win this match as he has been dormant for several years while Gunther is one of the fastest rising stars in the entire industry. The talent level of both men gives this bout a chance to shine, but the outcome will never be in a question.

Rhea Ripley will retain her WWE Smackdown Womens Championship over Natayla

Reason – Ripley is the fastest rising star in all of Womens wrestling and she is defending against a woman, who hasn’t won a big match at a Pay Per View since the Barack Obama administration. Infact, Nattie has more face to heel turns in her career then title runs.  Bet the house on Ripley to retain as they will keep serving her up cupcakes until she rematches with Charlotte Flair at WWE SummerSlam.

KO & Sami Zayn successfully defend the Unified WWE Tag Championships by pinning Solo Sikoa

Reason – Reigns is barely around to defend his Unified World Championship, they are not about to place another belt on him.  If anything, the Uso’s will cause them to lose, and that feud can begin next.
