A couple of roster changes were made in Cleveland following the team’s first preseason game Thursday night. The team announced the signings of defensive tackle Brandin Bryant and tackle Travis Vornkahl.
With the addition of these two players, the team waived DT Tracy Sprinkle and C John Yarbrough. Both players didn’t play in the team’s preseason game Thursday night.
After going undrafted during the 2016 NFL Draft, Brandin Bryant was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seahawks in 2016. He spent the next year with the New York Jets, failing to play during the regular season with both teams. From there, he spent the next two years playing for the Canadian Football League.
As for Travis Vornkahl, a native of Sealy, Texas, he’s entering his first year in the NFL after going undrafted earlier this year. The 6-foot-6, 287-pound tackle spent the last 11 games of his collegiate career starting at the right tackle position for West Texas A&M. Back in May, Vornkahl was one of 30 players to participate in the rookie minicamp in Berea as part of a tryout.
