Cleveland Browns coverage is brought to you by –
A lot of things went wrong for the Browns today in their latest loss to Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots, but none worst then these.
- Continuing to “go for it” early in the game when you need points to be placed on the board. The same kind of points that would have eliminated the need for a 2-point conversion later in the game. Simply kick the field goal early in the first quarter instead of being stopped yet again.
- Play calling on the two-minute drill to end the first half. The Browns had two timeouts left on a 2nd and 1 and 3rd and 1, and threw each time. Major mistakes. Run the ball!
- Perhaps someone other than Chester Rogers should be returning kicks? His fumble on the punt late in the fourth, killed all momentum and any dream of a miraculous comeback for the Browns.
- AJ Green didn’t need to go to the ball on the onside kick once it was down and in the arms of a fellow Cleveland Brown. He went for the glory and it cost them.
- Can Jack Conklin stay healthy for more than two weeks in a row? If not, cut him already.
- The Patriots scored 24 points off turnovers, you can go back in the history books and I’m not sure a team has ever lost when scoring 24 points off turnovers. Case closed!
- They let a rookie throw for over 300 yards on them AGAIN! Somewhere Kenny Pickett is licking his lips against this pathetic secondary.
- If Cade York doesn’t make a 58 yard field goal week one, your 1-5 right now.
- Welp, enough of that, time to watch the KC Chiefs & Buffalo Bills play. You know, two QB’s the Browns could have had except they went after injury prone Denzel Ward in 18 instead of drafting Allen with the 4th pick and using the first on Barkley. Or in 2017, when they traded away the pick they could have used on Patrick Mahomes.
Can’t disagree with anything you just said Vince.
Cleveland is as Cleveland does.
