The Olmsted Falls Bulldogs made Week 8 look easy with a big 47-14 win over the Amherst Comets.
Senior receiver Rocco Conti ran the show for the Bulldogs with a 9-yard touchdown, giving the home team an early 6-0 lead.
Derek Neckar’s 46-yard run set Conti up for his second touchdown of the night of 3-yards. He racked up his third on a 30-yard run to settle the score 19-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Conti ran for a combined total of 116-yard in the first quarter.
Sophomore James Rossel and Senior Aiden Hurt scored in the second quarter to up the score 33-0. A Bulldog fumble yards away from the endzone would freeze the score for the half.
The Comets found their footing in the third quarter on a Bishop Fryson touchdown, cutting the score 33-7. The Bulldogs responded two plays later, with Hurt pushing the score 40-7 on a 34-yard touchdown.
A forced fumble returned possession to the Bulldogs, clearing the way for another touchdown with 4:50 remaining in the third. Excellent defense from the home team kept the score 47-7 at the end of the quarter.
Mason Fisher ran for 14-yard in the fourth to tally the second Comet touchdown. The game ended 47-14.
The player of the game was Bulldog Rocco Conti with 151-yards and 3 touchdowns.
Olmsted Falls will travel to Avon Lake next Friday. The Comets will host Elyria.
