Brunswick Dominates Euclid From Start to Finish

BRUNSWICK, OH – On homecoming night at Brunswick Auto Mart Stadium, the Blue Devils came out hot and never looked back.

Scoring started quickly after Euclid fumbled the snap on a punt attempt on the first drive, giving the Blue Devils the ball at the 14-yard line. Just 3 plays later Ethan Roksandich would punch it in from 4 yards out to give the Blue Devils a 7-0 lead.

On the very next drive another mistake by the Euclid punt team would again give Brunswick the ball in the redzone. This time it only took two plays for the Blue Devils to score. James Toomey ran a jet sweep 10 yards for the touchdown, making the score 14-0 just five minutes into the game.

Euclid began to put a drive together but instead turned the ball over on a fumble.

It took just two minutes and 48 seconds for the Blue Devils to score again as Javon Russell would punch it in from 2 yards out to make it 21-0 Devils.

The Blue Devils defense once again forced a punt and just three plays later John Crawford would score on a 4-yard run to make it 28-0 Brunswick. They were dominating and in full control of this game.

Euclid would answer quickly though as Daemauri Robinson found Richard Buchannon for a 68-yard TD making it 28-6 with 7:21 remaining in the half.

A punt by the Blue Devils gave the ball back to the Panthers but it would lead to a pick six by Landon Caso. The Blue Devils would now find themselves up 35-6.

Just seconds later on the ensuing kickoff, Richard Buchannon returned it 80-yards to the house,  making the score 35-13. This is how the half would conclude.

The second half wouldn’t bring as many points as both teams struggled to gain yards out of the locker room.

With three minutes and 31 seconds left in the third, Roksandich found receiver Jack Safko for a 13-yard TD extending the Blue Devils lead to 41-13.

Vincent DiTeodoro added a field goal late in the fourth making it 44-13 and that is how the game would end.

The Blue Devils played terrific defense all game and ran the ball well in this victory over the Panthers.

Quarterback Ethan Roksandich played great, passing for 66 yards, a TD and also added 100 yards and a score on the ground. The young QB showed how great he is with his legs.

Richard Buchannon was explosive when he got the ball for the Panthers as he had a 68-yard receiving TD and a 80-yard kick return for a score.

The Blue Devils move to 2-3 on the season and the Panthers fall to 0-5.
