Class of 2010 North Olmsted Graduates Matt and Jill Rotheram are bringing a popular chain to the city they both grew up in. They know the value of hard work, striving towards your goals and also healthy shakes! They also know about hometown pride!
Matt credits the idea to his wife Jill who will be running day to day operations of the popular eatery. Matt had this to say about the decision, “We were looking around for fitness type concepts, but it never ever hit us with the perfect location and opportunity that this brings. I drank a lot of great smoothies in the NFL and wanted North Olmsted to have that same opportunity. I told my wife about it, and it started the idea in our minds. “
Jill and Matt plan on having it up and running by late August at the exact same address Payless was, on Lorain Rd by Porter. Stay tuned for an exact opening date soon.
Matt went on to say about why he chose North Olmsted, ” I want to be involved and give back to the community who supported me. I grew up here my entire life until leaving for college. I want to be a part of the schools and also provide a cool and fun place for people to work! This will be a fun job with a great atmosphere. We want this to be a community store a community location as we partner with the schools. ”
Matt, who spent time playing for the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL, is returning home to open up a PULP because he wants to bring a great place for protein shakes and healthy food to the area he grew up. He also likes the fact that it is so close to the High School where students will have easy access to enjoy a healthy snack.
PULP is an extremely popular and tasty fast-food restaurant / healthy smoothie shop. They have locations all over Northeast, Ohio, so the timing is perfect! With so many empty buildings all around North Olmsted, it will be great to see one of them filled!
Rotheram is one of the greatest linemen to ever come out of North Olmsted High School where he followed his passion to the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated in 2015.
