Introducing The David Palcisko “D-Money” Helping Hands Foundation

Earlier this week month David Palcisko of North Ridgeville passed away. He was 15 and a freshman at St. Edward High School. He had his whole life ahead of him and had a very bright future as he was a smart kid and everyone who knew him enjoyed being around him.  He was also athletic and ran cross country and track.  He was an amazing young man beloved by many!

As a father myself, I cannot even put into words my sorrow and pain for the Palcisko family. They are tremendous human beings and it has been my honor to know the family. No parent should ever have to lose a child, let alone one this young.

John has asked me to share the following message regarding the plans to honor David’s name moving forward. Thank you for reading it at this time and God Bless!

I’m thrilled to announce that the David Palcisko “D-Money” Scholarship Fund” has now been created and we have information on how you can help donate.  Below is the link on how to donate and also an image of where to send the information too.  Please click the link at the bottom of this page with all the information you will need.

Please see the message below from John Palcisko, David’s father and someone I am proud to call friend.

“This is Mr Palcisko. We’re extremely grateful for the outpouring of love and compassion that has absolutely, genuinely knocked our socks off. Definitely going to have to step up the exercise regiment to handle all of the meals coming our way.

Then after my wife told me to slow down, I started digging in to all the people donating money and it’s completely an act of kindness not seen so much nowadays. I was told “you’re going to go through the most excruciating, painful process over the next few hours, days, weeks, months but you will encounter the absolute best that humanity has to offer”. Amen.

We are not doing this as a cash grab. We had things in motion prior to the Holidays to create a Palcisko Family Foundation. David was aware of this as he was privy to information that was supposed to be a surprise to Jamie and the kids. But, the Good Lord had other plans, Payton and I had Covid, Family Christmas plans were postponed. Then the Lord took DAVID for a much bigger plan that HE has for David. So, we pivot.

We’re setting up, with the permission of the schools a Dmoneys Helping Hands scholarship fund for St Jude, St Edwards, North Ridgeville High School and their respective Athletic Departments. As my sister, Jeannette told me, “David is in charge now, buckle up”.

All I ask is, please, continue this compassion and kindness to everyone you know, strangers on the street, people you haven’t talked to in a while, and maybe even people you need to mend the fence with.

Another quote from my sister, “God gives his toughest battles to His strongest soldiers.” I think Dad sent that quote  David, we miss you, we love you and we are going to do everything and anything to honor your life and the absolute joy you were to have as a Son.”
