Gimmick Matches and Segments

Dominik Mysterio & Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz & Logan Paul

Prediction – Miz and Paul

Reason – The long and dreaded heel turn of Dominik Mysterio is inching closer, and what bigger stage are you going to find then WrestleMania to not only do it, but send Rey into retirement as they do.  I wouldn’t be shocked if Rey get’s unmasked by Dominik in the ultimate act of betrayal.

Anything goes match: Sami Zayn vs. Johnny Knoxville

Prediction – Knoxville

Reason – They wouldn’t have brought him in just to get squashed.  This entire angle is beyond dumb and the sooner it is over, the better! Meanwhile, a guy like Apollo Crews goes from winning a title on the WrestleMania card last year, to not even getting a match this year, because of garbage like this.

Austin Theory vs. Pat McAfee

Prediction – Austin Theory

Reason – It would make little to no sense to have a guy in Theory that they are pushing so extremely hard, lose to a part time announcer with two matches on his record. Yes, McAfee looked AMAZING on both of is NXT matches, but he was working with Adam Cole, not Austin Theory.  This could be awful.

Stone Cold” Steve Austin appears on The KO Show w/Kevin Owens

Prediction – The Crowd Wins Big!

Reason- I’m sorry, but typically interview segments at Wrestlemania are pure death, but this has GOLD written all over it!  Owens was incredible on the microphone before showing up in NXT years ago, if they let him channel into that mode, then watch out.

We already know that Austin is going to be pure magic as he always is, and I would expect this brawl to spill over into the Texas crowd.  If they plan on having this main event Saturday night, then it should be exceptionally good and main event caliber.

Tag Title Matches

Women’s Tag Team championships: Carmella & Queen Zelina (c) vs. Naomi & Sasha Banks vs. Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley vs. Natalya & Shayna Baszler.

Prediction – Natayla and Baszler

Prediction – With Bayley and Asuka both coming back, I’d have to believe that Banks is headed for a headlining feud with one of them shortly after Mania. Having her be a part of a Tag Team would make little to no sense long term unless it was with Bayley.

As for Ripley, the rumor has it that she will be headed for a feud with Belair after WrestleMania, over the RAW Women’s Championship.  Meanwhile, Liv Morgan will be wished the best in her future endeavors.

I’m not sure why Baszler and Natayla would have been added so late if they weren’t wining it?  They are my pick.

Raw Tag Team championships: RK-Bro (Matt Riddle & Randy Orton) (c) vs. The Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy

Prediction – Team RKO

Reason – The Alpha Academy is so good and I worry that they won’t get the push they deserve following this card.  As for The Street Profits, I cannot buy them as heels and would fully expect them to stick it out as faces after this.  As for Team RKO, I hate them, but they are extremely over with the fans and will retain.

SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Usos (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs

Prediction – The Usos

Reason – Rick Boogs makes a terrific face, he and Shinsuke are just so much fun to cheer.  It would be cool to see them win, but Smackdown needs a heel tag team to hold the belts, and no-one does it better than the Usos.

Women’s Title Matches

SmackDown Women’s championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey

Prediction – Flair

Reason – Listen, even if this turns into a shoot, my money is on Flair.  Rousey is a total joke.  She cannot work a match properly, cannot cut a promo and cannot be counted on to keep her head together off camera.

You may hate Flair, but she is the total package and keeping the belt on her, sets up a ton of matches with the returning Asuka, Bayley, and much more.  Keep the belt on her!

Raw Women’s championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair

Prediction – Belair

Reason – From the moment Lynch finished off Belair in 21 seconds at SummerSlam, this ending was decided.  There is no way in Hell that they would have Lynch squash her and go on this excellent heel run to follow, if the final result wasn’t Belair going over on the biggest stage there is to even it up.

Non Title Matches

Edge vs AJ Styles

Prediction – AJ

Reason – The WWE really botched this entire thing.  They rushed it, then made Edge a heel for no reason.  I’ve already lost interest in what was once a dream match.  Edge as a heel at this point of his “career” simply doesn’t work.

Omos vs Bobby Lashley

Prediction – Lashley

Reason –  I’m starting to get a weird Great Khali feel from Omos.  He cannot do much in the ring but is slightly improving.  Atleast more than Colonel Ajeerz who is equal in size and has been squashed by Omos recently.

Lashley was on a tear before getting hurt back in February at Elimination Chamber. I personally wish they never took the title off of him several times last year as they kept doing and set up the dream with Lesnar for WrestleMania.  Where he goes from here is anyone’s guess, but it appears to be without MVP.

Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin

Prediction – Drew McIntyre

Reason – What a gigantic demotion for the guy who carried you through the first year of the pandemic with no fans. At the very least, you have to let him win this “big” match.  Also, expect a Madcap Moss babyface turn soon.

Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods vs. Sheamus & Ridge Holland

Prediction – Kingston and Woods

Reason – Holland takes the pin for punishment of hurting Big E.

Seth Rollins vs TBA

Prediction – Rollins over Shane McMahon

Reason – Well, a lot of us want Cody Rhodes, but rumor has it that it will be Shane O Mac.  With that being the case, I’d fully expect him and Rollins to tear down the house  with high spots, to hopefully drown out the “We Want Cody” chants that I’m sure will be booming. The newest, “Mr. WrestleMania” Rollins, should come away with the win.

As for Cody, expect him to show up the next night on RAW.

The Main Event of the evening

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs WWE Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar

Prediction – Roman Reigns

Reason – This Hulk Hogan like run for Reigns still has plenty of legs and layers to it.  The payoff is a win over every big name you can bring his way.  We’ve seen Cena go down, Mysterio, Edge, Daniel Bryan and Goldberg.  Oh yeah, The Fiend and Braun Strowman when this all began too.

The point is, the Lesnar match is just another notch on his belt as he makes his way towards the long awaited dream match with The Rock. If he stays healthy and injury free, the belt will stay with him for a very long time.  We are witnessing greatness.
