BEREA, Ohio – For the first time this season, the Baldwin Wallace University football team is ranked in both the D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top-25 polls.
BW (7-1, 6-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) climbed two spots in the D3football.com poll to 21 with 108 points, which marked the fourth straight week the team has been ranked in the poll. The Yellow Jackets land for the first time on the AFCA poll at 25 with 99 points.
BW is one of two of OAC schools in the D3football.com as it joins the University of Mount Union at No. 4 in the poll. The Yellow Jackets are one of three schools in the AFCA pool as it joins Mount Union (#4) and crosstown rival John Carroll University (#21).
BW is back in action on Saturday, November 6 when they travel to Ada for an OAC game against Ohio Northern University inside Dial-Roberson Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
The Yellow Jackets close out the regular season portion of the schedule on Saturday, November 13 when they host an OAC, Seniors’ Day, Veterans Appreciation Day and 33rd Battle for the Gold Bowl Trophy game against crosstown rival John Carroll University on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium at 1 p.m. Fans can follow all of the action live at https://bit.ly/2ZCc5UC.
