The Cleveland Heights Tigers Pounce The Lorain Titans 56-0

The Cleveland Heights Tigers traveled to Lorain to take on the Titans in a Lake Erie league showdown.

The Tigers came into the game riding a 4-game winning streak; meanwhile, the Titans are looking for their first win of the season at 0-4. Cleveland Heights struck first as QB Darreon Fair found Jalen White in the endzone for a 31-yard touchdown pass.

The Tigers led 7-0. After a three and out, which forced the Titans to punt, the Tigers marched down the field and scored on a 2-yard touchdown run up the middle by Owen Bisker as they extended the lead to 14-0 still in the first quarter.

The scoring barrage continued as Jalen Whit got a piece of the action with an 8-yard run to pay dirt which extended the Tigers lead to 21-0. After Lorain recovered a Tiger fumble, they were forced to yet another three and out series. The Titans gave the ball back to the Tigers. The Tigers took full advantage of the Titans’ inability to turn the turnover into points as Anthony Brooks joined the Touchdown Party with a 12-yard run to make the score 28-0 late in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, the Tigers blocked a Titan punt and turned that into 6 points just a few plays later as Owen Bisker ran for 24 yards and tackled at the 1-yard line. On the next play, Brisker scored the first of his two rushing touchdowns of the night as the Tigers began to pull away 35-0.

Later in the third quarter, Fair connected with Jerimiah Dillard in the air for a 29 yard TD pass, and the score was 42-0 Tigers. Dillard also scored again in the fourth quarter with a 50-yard touchdown making the score 49-0. Mekhi Webb scored the final touchdown with a 7-yard score to seal the deal as the Tigers won big with the final score of 56-0.

The Titans could not find the endzone on Friday night. The Titans recovered two Tiger fumbles despite the route, but they could not turn those turnovers into points. Lorian’s biggest play of the night came as QB Joseph Wyatt found Ter’von Williams for a 48 yard gain.

Titans Running Back Robert Gonzalez was a busy man as he had 17 carries for 46 yards. This is the third straight game where the Titans went scoreless as they fell to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in league play.

Tigers continue their impressive start as they ride a 5-game win streak with tonight’s win.

The Player Of The Game
Tonight’s player of the game goes to Cleveland Heights QB Darreon Fair. Fair went 8-of-14 passing with two touchdown passes, one for 31 yards and another for 29 yards. He was also an effective runner as he rushed for 97 yards on eight carries showing all the qualities of a dual-threat quarterback.

The Tigers look to go 6-0 as they host the Strongsville Mustangs in non-conference play. Strongsville is coming off a 48-13 loss to Medina at home. The Titans are still looking for their first win of the season as they host conference foe Maple Heights Mustangs, who defeated the Garfield Heights Bulldogs 46-6
