The Brunswick Blue Devils Destroy the Euclid Panthers 38-18!

1st quarter

This contest started with Brunswick receiving the kickoff and starting their drive at their own 23-yard line, unfortunately after a successful 16-yard run by the running back Branyan Nichols, the Blue Devils turned the ball over on an interception.

Euclid with excellent field possession at Brunswick’s 32-yard line, could only muster one first down before turning the ball over on downs. Both teams next possessions resulted in three and outs, before the Blue Devil’s used a little trickery and gained 50 yards on a wide out screen pass, moving the ball to the Panthers’ 17-yard line.

The Blue Devils used some running grit to score the game’s first touchdown on a 4-yard run by Luke Petrowski with 3:50 left in the first quarter. Brunswick 7, Euclid 0. Euclid once again failed to get a first down and punted the ball back to Brunswick at the 2:40 mark.

Brunswick trying to gain added momentum in this game, moved up the field quickly with a 52-yard pass play from quarterback Ethan Fritz to running back Nichols, that landed them at the 1-yard line, and they capped off the drive with a quarterback keeper by Fritz to score their second touchdown. Brunswick 14, Euclid 0.
