Maple Hts shutout Shaw 48 to 0

Maple Hts Stadium- It was a great day for high school football. Maple Hts came on the field pumped up and ready.

Shaw got the ball first and did nothing with the football. Maple Hts got the ball back with good field position.

It did not take long for the Mustangs to march down the field
with the help from Mustangs Ed Robinson. He had some big runs that helped the Mustangs
score a 13 yard touchdown. That made the score 6 to 0.

The Cardinals had a hard time manufacturing any offense. With 5:18 left in the first quarter, the Mustangs recovered a fumble, putting them in a great opportunity to score again. The fumble was recovered by linebacker Christian Edge.

The next play later the Mustangs score off of a 3 yard pass play to Bryshaun Haskin making the score 12 to 0.

Shaw was able to get good field position after they received the kickoff. But the Cardinals offense could not get a first down so they punted the ball back to the Mustangs. With the ball at
the 50 yard line, the Mustangs called a screenplay that went for a 49 yard touchdown.

Waiting on the kickoff, the Cardinals fumbled the ball again at the 2 yard line. Mustangs capitalized on the turnover with a 1
yard touchdown run by Dawson King. Now we were in the second quarter where Mustangs are
up 28 to 0.

A few minutes in the second quarter, the Mustangs scored again with a touchdown
reception by Keaun Price.

Going to halftime with the score 34 to 0 in favor of the Mustangs.

Maple Hts basically took over the second half. They scored a couple more times pushing the
lead up to 48 to 0.

Maple Hts Ed Robinson won the player of the game.
Final score Mustangs 48 and Cardinals 0
