AEW has a roster that has never been matched in sports wrestling history when it comes to Former World Champions either on the active roster, or announce teams. I’ve never seen a company with so many former World Champions on it since the WWF & WCW merger of 2001.
Over the next couple of pages, I have broken down the former World Champions per the brand or company that they held the world belt of.
This list doesn’t even consider men like Ric Flair and Bray Wyatt who are rumored to be showing up in AEW shortly as well. Or one offs like DDP and Bret Hart who have made appearances on the brand.
