by As I enter my 42nd season as a Browns fan I have witnessed many up’s & down‘s & since 1999 there have been more downs than ups. The first year I became a fan was the beginning of the Kardiac Kids era with Brian Sipe, Ozzie, The Pruitts, Logan & Clay Matthews.
I think the last time I was this excited for a season to begin was after the 1985 season when they lost to Miami. Those mid to late 80’s teams with Bernie at the helm along with Brennan, Slaughter, Langhorne, Mack, Byner & who couldn’t forget the best Cornerback tandem in Dixon & Minnifield were so magical & heart pounding. I wasn’t allowed to sit on the couch to watch the games because I was too emotional, I had to sit on the floor.
This year I have that same feeling. Last year was so emotional, like a ride at Cedar Point, especially with the pandemic going on. I do believe the Browns have finally found their head coach & the right front office personnel as well. September 12th is a little over a month away, & that date cannot come soon enough.
The excitement that Baker, Chubb, Hunt, Myles, Jarvis, Odell, Denzel, Hollywood & others brought us last year was incredible & with the new additions this year, it’s even more exciting. Here we go Brownies! Here we go! Woof! Woof!
