Avon RB Devon Hunter Wins Week Two Player of the Week

In one of the closest votes of all time, Avon Running Back Devon Hunter has won the Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week.  Narrowly edging out Tyler Brezina of Amherst, Carter Kalamasz of Columbia and Gage Duesler of Avon Lake.

Narrow wins are nothing new to the Hunter and the Avon Eagles this season as they have been thrilling to watch with back to back come from behind wins late over the first two weeks.

Hunter has been a focal point of this offense and an anchor the team can strap themselves to in crucial moments.  This past weekend in Olmsted Falls, Hunter went off for 214 yards rushing while scoring twice on the ground.  He also caught the screen pass that he took 18 yards for the clinching touchdown in the final moments.

Congrats to Devon Hunter and the Avon Eagles program.
