Bay Village To Have Peaceful Protest To Save High School Fall Sports

As is very well known by now, the Ohio Department Of Health issued a mandate late last night stating that High School Contact sports could go on this fall.  However, they are mandating COVID 19 testing done atleast 72 hours before each game in the contact sports of Soccer & Football.

If that news wasn’t bad enough, it was only a few days earlier that the Cuyahoga Board of Health advised all virtual schooling in Cuyahoga County.  That led to panic and countless schools all around Cuyahoga County instantly postponed and also cancelled ALL FALL SPORTS for their district.

One of which is Bay Village of the GLC.  While many would just lay down and take this news, the fighting spirit of the Coaches, Players and Parents of Bay Village refuse too!

The protest will be this Wednesday at 4pm on front of the School Board Building on Wolf Road.  Make sure you wear your mask and you can be sure everyone will be six feet apart.

LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD! Give these kids a chance!

  1. In Brooklyn high School the thought of our kids not being able to play sports is just tearing all of them down. My girls live for sports and now nothing. We’ve been on lock down since March of 2020 and enough is enough. Let all sports resume. What about the kids hoping and relying on scholarships, now they can’t be seen.

  2. Yes to playing sports this fall! Sports keep kids active and involved and healthy!!!!! They keep kids motivated and give them something to look forward to!!

  3. This is great! People need to start speaking up and stop letting government decide what is best for our teams! We applaud you.

  4. Well lets say one of these kids parents or grandparents contract the virus and die because ,”they needed sports” or “its nothing more then the flu” Then what. How would you deal with handling the guilt that you or your kid spread the virus and essentially killed a parent or grandparent. All because of selfish reasons.
