5 Reasons Why The Cleveland Indians Were Right To Trade Away Frankie Lindor

On July 29 (just before the July 31 trading deadline), the Indians traded Lee (along with outfielder Ben Francisco) to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for Carlos Carrasco, Jason Donald, Lou Marson, and Jason Knapp.

Carrasco sure worked out, as a staple and steady part of the rotation up until today.

  1. The Indians will never sign any of their homegrown stars. Don’t get too attached to the name on the back of the uniform. The name on the front is more important. Enjoy them while you have them(eg. Jose Ramirez, Shane Bieber)

  2. Also, being a contender is not good enough. I saw those examples below. Eventually you have to win the whole thing!
