Stefanski shows leadership and poise where others before him didn’t!
Stefanski has been the picture of calm, leadership and poise. His players have responded from it and have grown leaps and bounds from last year’s Freddie Kitchen disaster. Our website took serious heat for calling for Kitchens job last year, but it is clear not even a full year later that he was the problem!
He doesn’t panic when someone gets hurt, or they fall behind. Past coaches would have pushed the panic button tossed out the game plan and starting throwing. He doesn’t rattle and he appears to learn from his mistakes. The Browns didn’t bring in a coach to try and fit guys into his system, they brought in a coach who built a system around the talent on the field and it is working!
Again, he doesn’t rattle and abandon the game plan the second something goes wrong. That was the biggest knock on Freddie Kitchens, and Stefanski is about the furthest thing from it. He wanted a good run pass balance and he has found it. In fact, he has stuck to what works when it comes to the run game. The Browns have thrown the ball 307 times this season compared to 352 rushing plays. That is balance!
