5 Once Great Sitcoms That Became Impossible Too Watch

Roseanne

Reason it failed – I loved this program growing up.  It was middle class at it’s finest!  What middle class suburban family with two working parents and multiple kids, scraping to make it by couldn’t relate?  This was my family in certain ways for the first five or so seasons.

Why did it fail you ask?  Darlene started smoking pot.  They turned an 85 year old grandma gay for just the sake that they could, with no reason given?  The actress who played Becky quit.  DJ was visited by Aliens.  Roseanne had a kid and named him Jerry Garcia? (whatever happened to him?).  Tom Arnold took over the writing for a bit and that was rough to watch.

It was also perhaps the worst final season in sitcom history when they won the lottery.  Dan, who was one of the most lovable characters turned to adultery. Roseanne lived some very strange fairy tale episodes, and yet again, none of it made sense or was even remotely entertaining.
