5 Once Great Sitcoms That Became Impossible Too Watch

The Goldbergs

The reason it failed – This show went from being hilarious, cannot miss, to just plan predictable and annoying. It had four characters that were great, and are now all gone.

Murray the father left because the other castmates didn’t like Jeff Garlin the actor who portrayed him.  Pop, played by George Segal was fantastic, but sadly passed away.  Lani and Coach Mellor left to star on Lani’s show which failed quickly called, “Schooled”.

Those four hits were just too big to take. The mother went from being funny, to just obnoxious and gross after awhile.  Each episode takes the EXACT SAME SCRIPTED PATH.  Each week, you can count on the exact same peak and conclusion, almost as if, we’re supposed to forget what happened the week before. It was great when Full House hugged at the end, but this has become garbage.

Either the Mom, Barry, Adam or Erica go overboard with something, and then realize the error of their ways which leads to forgiveness and the EXACT same sappy ending each week.

I think what really ruined this show for me was when I found out that Erica and Lani were both fake!  Yes, that’s right, neither exists in real life and it made the entire show go from feeling real and keeping you invested in their lives, to just “blah”.

Unless they are going to bring back “Ren” for all of Season 10, then it’s pointless to go on.
