Bullet One
Absolutely no running game. Their leading rusher was Jerome Ford with 20 yards on 8 carries. Kareem Hunt, who was supposed to be the savior after Nick Chubb was lost for the year, was held to 8 yards on 7 carries.
Bullet Two
The Browns continue to struggle stopping a mobile quarterback, and if it wasn’t for horrible play calling all game long in tight situations from Chicago, Justin Fields would have beaten them with his legs. They couldn’t bring him down and let him extend one play after another. Not good. Luckily, they do not face any further ones until the playoffs, as Stroud is still banged up.
Bullet Three
Their end of the half defense, both halves, was hideous. As mentioned, both times, they were bailed out by terrible play calling from Chicago. At the very least, the Bears should have easily gotten two field goals out of the disappearing Browns defense at the end of both halves. The Bears make one, we’re going overtime, they make both, the Browns are a loser.
Bullet Four
The Browns need to get healthy on the O-Line, and fast as they did a horrendous job in pass blocking today, giving up four sacks, and nearly several more. They also couldn’t run the ball yet again, as notated earlier. With Conklin, Wills and Dawand Jones all lost for the year, the last thing Browns needed to see was Joel Bitonio and Nick Harris both leave the game today.
Bullet Five
The Browns committed 9 penalties in the worst of ways. Several were drive killers, and 3 straight inside of their own 10-yard line led to Chicago’s first score of the game. Having 12 men on the field twice in a row, is about as dumb as it gets. And STOP LINING UP OFFSIDES!
