UFC BJJ is returning for its third professional grappling showcase, streaming live and free on the UFC YouTube channel on Thursday, October 2, starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. In this thrilling main event, Mikey Musumeci will aim to defend his bantamweight title for the first time against Keven Carrasco. The co-main event is equally as exciting and features Carlos Henrique, who will strive to defend his lightweight title against Matheus Gabriel.
Current UFC BJJ bantamweight champion Musumeci (competing out of Las Vegas, Nevada) enters The Bowl with a 13-match win streak and a resume that is stacked with IBJJF, ONE, WNO, and UFC titles. Currently considered one of the top submission specialists today, Musumeci claimed the inaugural bantamweight title in UFC BJJ by decision against Rerisson Gabriel during the show’s debut in June of 2025. He is now aiming to continue his win streak and defend his belt in the bantamweight division.
Carrasco (competing out of South Korea) is an up-and-coming talent in the UFC bantamweight division, known for his quick entries and smooth guard work. He is currently 2-0 in UFC BJJ, securing a first-round submission victory in both matches in under two minutes, finishing with a rear-naked choke during UFC BJJ 1 against Pedro Nakano and a triangle choke in UFC BJJ 2 against Jalen Fonacier. Carrasco is now coming for Musumeci’s belt and aims to finish in style.
Henrique (competing out of Houston, Texas) earned the inaugural lightweight title during UFC BJJ 1 by submitting Danilo Moreira with an armbar in the third round. He is currently coming off four straight wins by submission and is known for his aggressive pace and hunting down submissions instead of playing it safe. Henrique aims to continue his win streak by submission while defending his lightweight title.
Gabriel (competing out of Dallas, Texas) is a decorated veteran who is a three-time IBJJF gi world champion. He is known for his high submission rate finishes rather than just winning by points, securing over 30 wins by submission. He has built a reputation for his ability to create positions to set up submissions, using control as a pathway to victory. Gabriel is striving to establish himself as the lightweight division’s new king after a win against Henrique.
Musumeci is the heavy favorite for the main event at -2500 while Carrasco is the underdog at +1200. Carrasco will need to survive Musumeci’s pressure and technical control if he wants to be crowned the new bantamweight champion. The co-main event is expected to be a more competitive match, with Henrique favored at -200 and Gabriel the underdog at +150. The co-main event is expected to determine whether hunting submissions or a calculated positional style can hold up better under pressure.
