Sting didn’t see himself as a superstar.
It was no surprise to see how humble Sting was. He didn’t see himself as a superstar and made time for everyone. It didn’t matter where your spot on the card was as he treated you the same. He welcomed in new talent such as Macho Man and Hogan, and took time out to mentor young talent like Marcus Bagwell.
Sting showed time and time again that he was the Ultimate team player and simply wanted what was best for the company. The last line to come out of his mouth was perhaps the one that summed it up the best when he stated, “Maybe I should bring a chainsaw out next time? No, let’s just stick to wholesome family entertainment”. Again, I think that speaks volumes about him.
